Who Is This Artisan?

Every creation has a story. Mine begins with a single thread.

Hello, I'm Elizabeth.

I've been surrounded by thread for as long as I can remember. My mother has always been passionate about crochet, and our home was filled with colorful skeins, pattern books, and endless creativity. I would often borrow her leftover pieces of thread, giving them a second life through my own little experiments.

Among all the crochet books she collected, one stood out from the rest. It wasn't about crochet at all—it was about macramé.

The book was written in English, a language I barely understood at the time. But the illustrations were enough. I carefully studied every picture, trying to imitate each movement until the knots began to make sense. Without realizing it, those pages introduced me to a craft that would stay with me for the rest of my life.

As the years passed, curiosity became passion.

I love creating pieces that seem impossible to achieve with knots alone. While micro macramé is at the heart of my work, I also enjoy exploring the ancient Japanese art of kumihimo, combining both techniques to bring new ideas to life.

Fantasy has always captured my imagination. Dragons, mythical creatures, curious sea beings, and loyal four-legged companions often find their way into my creations. Each piece begins as an idea and slowly comes to life, one knot at a time.

Gemstones are another passion of mine. Their colors, textures, and natural patterns inspire many of my designs, and I love discovering new ways to weave them into every creation.

Today, every knot reminds me of that little girl sitting with a book she couldn't read, patiently learning from its illustrations. Looking back, I realize that curiosity has always been the thread connecting every chapter of my journey.
